6-8’s
With our 6-8 year olds we cover a broad spectrum of games and challenges that encourage children to explore new movements to best solve the puzzle presented to them. This may not even look like athletics at all but gives youngsters the skills and confidence to move in new ways and most importantly, have fun doing it! They often work as teams to complete challenges racing against time to score as many points as possible.
9-10’s
In the 9-10's age group the concepts of running, jumping and throwing start to underpin some more of our play. Despite this much of the fun and games from the 6-8’s group is carried through to allow children to be curious and develop their own movement skills.
11-14's
The 11-14’s group is about learning to train for athletics. All kids will learn all elements of running, jumping and throwing year round. At this age group we encourage children to go and compete with local clubs for the first time as they begin to understand how practice can help them get better. The emphasis remains on having fun whilst taking part in some level of competitive athletics.
15-18's
The 15-18 group is where young athletes are beginning to train and practice for the purpose of self improvement and competition. Practice can begin to zone towards improvement in specific events and competition is seen as an important part of individual development. Most athletes in this age group will take part several times per week.
18+
We work with several adults to also help them achieve their athletics and running goals. Whether that be to compete nationally or simply try something for the first time, our talented coaches will be there to plan and guide you as much as you feel you need.
