SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST!

Ben F saved the best for last in his triple jump campaign this year. Competing at the England Championships just two weeks after walking away from the schools championships with a 14.06m jump.  Ben struggled to grab hold of the first 3 rounds but did enough to earn his final three trials. Ben jumped14.09m to snatch the bronze medal on his final attempt of the competition.

This is not only a huge milestone for Ben but also the academy with Ben being the first athlete from the academy to attend a national championship and become the first medalist at the same time. Year one of the project has nearly come to a close and what a fantastic way to round it off.
